Jonathan Suk is a Senior Expert, Public Health Emergency Preparedness, at the European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control (ECDC) in Stockholm, Sweden.
His work at ECDC has focused on strategic preparedness planning and on the drivers and determinants of emerging infectious diseases.
In 2015, he contributed to the Ebola response in Guinea through the WHO Global Outbreak Alert and Response Network. He was nominated as a New Voice in Global Health by the Lancet and World Health Summit in 2014.
Jonathan Suk has a BSc. in microbiology & immunology from McGill University and a PhD in science & technology studies from the University of Edinburgh.
Before joining ECDC in 2007, he spent time working in academia and in the biopharmaceutical industry.
